PANTOGRAPH DESIGNS

Choose a Quilting Design That Suits Your Quilt

Pantographs are repeating quilting designs stitched across the quilt. By The Yhard offers a growing collection of designs, from simple textures to more detailed patterns, so you can choose a finish that suits the style of your quilt.

PANTO OF THE MONTH

Featured Quilting Design

Each month, Tasha highlights a pantograph design from the By The Yhard collection. It’s a simple way to discover new quilting styles and see how different designs can change the look and feel of a finished quilt.

If you’re not sure which pantograph will suit your quilt, Tasha can help you choose a design that complements the fabrics, piecing and overall style.

PREPARING YOUR QUILT

A Little Preparation Helps Everything Go Smoothly

Before your quilt goes on the longarm, a few simple preparation steps help ensure the best possible result. Tasha will confirm the details with you before your appointment, but these guidelines are a good place to start.

1. Quilt Top

Make sure your quilt top is complete, pressed and free of loose threads where possible.

2. Backing

Your backing should be at least 4" larger than the quilt top on all sides so it can be loaded securely onto the longarm frame.

3. Batting

Bring your preferred batting, or ask Tasha about available options when booking your appointment.

4. Final Details

Have your pantograph choice, thread preferences and any special notes ready to discuss at drop-off.

Not sure if your quilt is ready? Tasha is happy to answer questions before your appointment.
